D-HIVE Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, set up to manage commercial operations and provide benefit back to the Trust by reinvesting into healthcare services for the benefit of the communities UHDB serves.
We support the NHS to deliver flexible and innovative services. UHDB values are at the heart of what we do; we collaborate and we push boundaries to challenge ourselves.
We provide essential support services to UHDB including Professional Services, IT and software services as well as Managed Equipment Services. Within the wider D-Hive group Agency Bank, Pharmacy and Recruitment services are also provided.
As a private limited company we are able, in some circumstances, to operate with greater flexibility than an NHS organisation and this can be helpful to the Trust. University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is our only shareholder.
The D-Hive team is predominantly made up of experienced former UHDB employees, some with private sector/commercial experience, and we are well placed to offer flexible and innovative ways to deliver services.
